Susannah joined Milsted Langdon in 2008 to assist in delivering the firm’s growing corporate finance service, drawing on experience gained at a leading regional firm in Oxford where she qualified and began her career in corporate finance, working on significant transactions such as a £15 million disposal and a £17.5 million buy-in management buyout, or BIMBO.
At Milsted Langdon, she heads up the Corporate Finance team, which advises businesses of all sizes, including listed companies but with a focus on owner-managed businesses in the SME sector.
She understands that whilst for some clients the process may be an often repeated and familiar one, where the lightest touch is required, for the vast majority it is a one-off, potentially stressful experience. She is therefore able to tailor the offering accordingly, ensuring that the service delivers value for money.
Susannah’s strong technical knowledge is combined with sound commercial judgment, and her priority is keeping in touch with clients and communicating information in a clear, jargon-free and user-friendly way.
She is keen to dispel the myth that corporate finance work is the preserve of large companies, and to encourage owner-managed, family businesses to seek early advice in their preparation for succession. This helps to deliver a much more cost-effective – and less stressful – process than if there has been little forward planning.
Susannah became a partner at Milsted Langdon in 2014.
