Guy Armitage-Norton


Guy’s focus in working with clients is to provide practical support, tailored to their specific needs and designed to add real value to their businesses.

Since qualifying as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 2011, Guy has developed particular expertise in reporting systems, the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s (SRA) Accounts Rules and audits, on which he has worked with businesses ranging in size from £5 million to more than £1 billion in sectors including bio-medical sciences, charities, manufacturing and marketing.

Guy is also experienced in audit reporting under a range of standards, including UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP), the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the US Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the Japanese equivalent (J-SOX).

His involvement with solicitor firms includes carrying out internal audits of SRA Accounts Rules systems and support for SRA compliance and Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA) reporting.

Elsewhere, his industry secondments have included acting as financial controller for a large, regional construction company, advising on improving financial systems and cash flow management.

Guy began his accountancy career in 2008 and before joining Milsted Langdon in 2015 was an audit and assurance services manager with a Big Four accountancy firm.
