With a strong background in the agricultural, property business and landed estates sectors, Abi can provide specialist tax advice to a wide range of clients.
Working primarily with owner-managed businesses and private clients, she is an expert in capital gains tax (‘CGT’) planning on asset disposal, incorporating the various CGT reliefs, including the complex rules surrounding Entrepreneurs’ Relief, hold-over and rollover.
Abi is particularly experienced at dealing with farming partnerships and family owner-managed businesses and she can also assist with inheritance tax and succession planning, including lifetime gifts of assets and the administration of trusts and estates.
In addition to this, Abi also assists our in-house expert witnesses in the preparation of court reports in relation to matrimonial proceedings.
Abi is dual-qualified as both a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Advisor. Prior to joining Milsted Langdon in October 2018, Abi spent five years at a top ten firm dealing with tax and accountancy planning and compliance for landed estates, farming clients and high net worth individuals. Prior to this role, Abi trained with a regional firm in their rural department for two and a half years.
When not at work, Abi is rooted in her life on her family farm on the Dorset and Somerset border, which provides her with a unique outlook on the provision of services to rural clients.
