Promising students honoured by Milsted Langdon
South West-based chartered accountancy firm Milsted Langdon has further strengthened its commitment to encouraging the business minds of tomorrow by honouring three promising students with awards.
Partners from the firm’s Taunton office presented trophies to business studies students from three of the area’s independent schools, in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements.
Simon Denton presented the Milsted Langdon Prize for Contributions to Economics and Business Studies 2011 to Max Needham during a ceremony at Taunton School on 1 July.
Ginny Nash, a student at King’s College, received the Business Studies Student of the Year 2011 accolade, sponsored by Milsted Langdon, during a ceremony at the school. The award was presented by the firm’s chairman and founding partner, Jonathan Langdon.
Finally, Melissa Fry was honoured with the Milsted Langdon Business Prize 2011 during a presentation at Queen’s College. Milsted Langdon partner Nigel Fry presented the award.
Commenting on the awards, Jonathan Langdon said: “On behalf of the firm, I would like to congratulate all three students on winning these well-deserved awards through their hard work and commitment.
“At Milsted Langdon, we have long enjoyed successful relationships with our local schools and colleges, including offering work experience placements to students to give them a first-hand taste of the profession.
“These students could well go on to become the business leaders of tomorrow, which is why we are delighted to be able to support and encourage them in any way that we can.”
