Milsted Langdon takes to the water

Chartered accountants, Milsted Langdon, had a taxing time at the annual Taunton Soroptimist Swimathon in aid of charity.

Fifty teams took part in the 23rd Soroptimist Swimathon, with Milsted Langdon’s three teams each swimming for an hour at the two-day event at Taunton School on February 19 and 20.

The swimmers may have been left with wrinkly fingers and a little out of breath, however, the participants achieved an excellent return on their investment of energy with an impressive £12,000 raised for local charities.

The charities who will profit from the swimmers’ efforts will be St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice, Taunton Association for the Homeless, Somerset Sight and Somerset Trust for Arts and Recreation (STAR).

Jonathan Langdon, partner at Milsted Langdon, said: “It was a terrific effort put in by our staff at Milsted Langdon. We believe in putting something back into the local community and continue to support local charities.”
